Playback

Play video in BoxPlayer: subtitles, audio tracks, and resume

About 5 min read4 practical tasks

Playback depends on the video file, source network, and device. First make the original file play reliably, then adjust subtitles, audio, and picture-related options.

Walkthrough

  1. 1

Open the video from a library or source

Use a library to browse posters and categories, or use a file source to open one file directly. Both paths should point to a source you recognize and trust.

  2. 2

Check the source and network first

When a title will not load or buffers often, check that the source is reachable, the network is stable, and the same file can open on another device.

  3. 3

Choose the audio track and subtitles

Use the playback controls to select language, dubbing, or external subtitles. If a subtitle is missing, check that it sits beside the video with a recognizable filename.

  4. 4

    Return through continue watching

Exit normally, then use continue watching to return to the last position. If progress does not match another device, check the account and source identity.

Before you finish

  • The video loads reliably
  • The intended audio and subtitle tracks are selected
  • Continue watching returns to the expected position
