Use BoxPlayer as a cloud-drive player: add a source and play media
BoxPlayer puts cloud drives, local folders, NAS shares, and media servers behind one source entry. Connect the source you use first, then organize video, books, and music in their own libraries.

Add a source you trust
Choose a cloud account, local folder, or network protocol in File Sources. Complete authorization or enter the server address, then confirm that the selected root folder is correct.

Confirm the file list before scanning
Open the new source and check its folder structure, file names, and playable files. For large cloud drives, start with one media folder instead of scanning the entire drive.

Create a library for each media type
Scan video, books, and music separately. This keeps books and music sources out of the video library and makes filtering, metadata matching, and resume history clearer.

Start playback from the library
Open a movie or episode, then choose the quality, audio track, and subtitles you need. Recently added and continue watching stay grouped by the relevant library.
