Fix incorrect media metadata: rename, rematch, and verify
Incorrect metadata usually comes from identical titles, missing years, or unclear season and episode names. Correct a few examples first, verify them, and only then continue through the folder.

Identify whether the name or match is wrong
Check the file and parent-folder name first. If the title, year, season, or episode is absent, fix the name before repeatedly trying random matches.

Add the information that distinguishes the title
For movies, add the release year. For shows, add season and episode numbers. Keep remakes, specials, and different cuts in separate folders.

Rescan and check each changed item
Refresh only the folder or item you changed. Confirm the poster, synopsis, year, and playable file agree before you continue to another batch.

Leave uncertain items unmatched
An unmatched item is safer than an incorrect one. Wait until you have a reliable title or year before matching it again.
